1902 Oldsmobile Curved Dash

The 1902 Oldsmobile Curved Dash is considered to be the first mass-produced car in the United States. It was designed by Ransom Eli Olds, who was known for his innovative ideas in the automobile industry.

The Curved Dash had a single-cylinder engine with a 4.5 horsepower output and a top speed of 20 mph. It had a tiller instead of a steering wheel, and a wooden body held in place by metal brackets and a leather strap.

The compact design of the Curved Dash made it popular with women drivers, who appreciated its ease of use and affordability. It was also used as a delivery vehicle and as a taxi.

Despite its popularity, the Curved Dash was eventually supplanted by newer models with more powerful engines and more advanced features. Today, it is considered a classic and is highly sought after by collectors.
