1967 Toyota 2000GT Model MF10

The Toyota 2000GT is a two-door sports car that was produced by Toyota from 1967 to 1970. The car was designed in collaboration with Yamaha, with Toyota providing the engine and chassis, and Yamaha designing the exterior and interior.

The 2000GT was first introduced at the 1965 Tokyo Motor Show as a concept car, and generated significant interest from the public and automotive enthusiasts. Production of the car began in 1967, with only 351 units produced in total.

The car featured a 2.0-liter, six-cylinder engine that produced 150 horsepower, and could reach a top speed of 135 miles per hour. The exterior was sleek and sporty, with long sweeping lines and a low profile, while the interior was luxurious with leather seats and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.

The 2000GT was not only a hit with car enthusiasts, but it also gained attention in the film industry. The car was featured in the 1967 James Bond film “You Only Live Twice,” where it was driven by Sean Connery’s character.

Today, the Toyota 2000GT is considered a rare and highly valuable collectible car, with some models fetching prices upwards of $1 million at auction.
