The 1947 MG Midget Type TC was a small two-seater sports car produced by the British carmaker MG (Morris Garages). It was the first MG model to be exported to the United States in large numbers, and it quickly became popular among American buyers who were looking for a fun, lightweight sports car.
The TC was based on the pre-war MG TB but featured several upgrades, including a larger 54 horsepower XPAG engine, hydraulic brakes, and rack-and-pinion steering. It also had a wider body and larger wheels than its predecessor, giving it better stability and handling.
The TC had a top speed of around 80 miles per hour and could accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in around 20 seconds. It was known for its lively handling and responsive steering, making it a popular choice for club racing and rally events.
