Daihatsu Midget Type MP5
The MP5 evolved from handle bars to a steering wheel. The MP5 could accommodate driver and one passenger. The 300cc engine produced 12 horsepower. The MP5 went on sale in December of 1962 and sold 9,560 units.

The Subaru 360 boasted an air-cooled, two stroke inline 2 cylinder 356cc engine which put out 20 horsepower/15kW. The 360 went 12 years without major modification.

1954 Datsun Double Pickup 6000 U

1958 Datsun 220 Truck
The 220’s engine was a Type C (4-cyl. in line, OHV), 988cc jobbie which put out 34 horsepower/25kW and enabled the truck to reach a top speed of 90km/h.
1937 Japan Firefighting Works Corporation
Outfitted with a Ford V8 engine, I am sure this thing had no problem pumping water. And being small, it could navigate old Japanese urban roads which were not designed for full size vehicles.
1954 Daihatsu Type SSR Three Wheeled Truck

1935 Daihatsu HS6
I have checked and am not finding a lot of information on the 1935 Daihatsu HS6. According to one page I found (in Japanese) the Type HS6 had a 700cc air cooled engine which put out 6.7 horsepower/5kW.
